Today I went back to Englishman River Falls about 45 minutes north of Nanaimo. It was a cloudy day so I thought it was a good day to photograph the falls and the forest. Although the usual winter snow dump was not as high as usual and the summer was drier than usual, there was still a lot of water cascading over the falls. I was alone in the forest with the sound of the falls. It was magic. I spent an hour and a half looking at the water and the details of every little cascade within the cascade, and the forest plants, trees and tiny mosses. Then the sun came out and people arrived, so I left.

The moss hangs from many branches. I did some research to find out the botanical name but could not find out which one this is. I will keep looking.
